Neovide-like Cursor Animation in Kitty Terminal

I’m a fan of animations, so I really like Neovide. However, I can’t use it because my workflow is tied to the terminal. I don’t want to sacrifice the speed boosters in my terminal workflow just to switch to Neovide.

But now, I can enjoy trailing cursor animations in my Kitty terminal without losing any productivity.

You can install the nightly version of Kitty and try this awesome feature:

brew uninstall kitty
brew install kitty@nightly

Then, add this line to your Kitty config file:

cursor_trail 3
